thinking of going to the r 302 block, 331 stroker with ported tw heads. kb supercharged. with a 331 do you think that a kb with 10lbs will be able to touch 600-700 hp or will i be way out of steam with that blower. should i just stick to the stock block for the kind of power that the kb can put out. even if i go with the stock block i will still be going 331 with the ported heads and blower.

stock, r302 or dart sportsman block?

I know you could do it easy with my combo, If your getting the R block why would you only run 10lbs? The blower is the small purchase, your gonna need a fuel system w/ return. and Eng. mang. trans, posi? or spool. axels. the list goes on once your about the 600hp club.

well its a long road. but its worth it.

About the block question, if your looking at going over 550 the stock one is out of the question, check out my garage.
The R 302 is less expensive but requires much more machineing (sp?) than that dart.

Just my .02 but the dart seemed to be the best bet.

I think the only problem with running high boost, with the kenne bell is the heat. U are going to need to run some kind of methanol injectrion or something to cool that charge and make it more manageable.

obviously i know about the other crap that goes along with 600 hp. turbo would be nice, but the car has to be streatable. do you think the blower would run out of steam? my previous car i had custom made a turbo setup but it was just one big pain in the ass. ive been researching kits and it just seems like it takes forever to get one and sometimes they can be just a bit off as well. not something i want to deal with again. i have a centri supercharger now and i dont really want another one. its either turbo or KB. and the kb would be nitrous injected to cool it off

I'm not saying you can't do it with the KB, but its not gonna be efficient. And when you are talking about streetable. You want efficiency. A turbo would get you to 600 easy if not more. Just pick up a Master Power T-70 or a GT45 from Joe at TPS. www.boostedsystems.com He's a great guy and will help you with every step of the way setting up a turbo street stang. I just think that would be the better route to go. That KB would get really hot and would not help in getting that 600hp efficiently.

how is a turbo not streatable? A properly tuned turbo'd car will last just as long as a properly tuned S/C car. My dads F250 powerstroke hits 20psi every day and I dont see him worrying about it blowing up.

i know how to read effeciency maps with turbos because of my last car. what would a 331 stroker with ported tw heads flow? so i can scout out some turbo's. 1105 and recent turbo posts have me wondering.... also with twin turbo. what accesories need to be deleted, and is a twin turbo more of a headache to deal with? im going to go check out turbo mustangs for a bit now. i was over there last year but gave up and decided it would be more of a mess than anything.
