That pulley looks a little small to be the standard 9psi one. Got a measurement?

...while we're at it, I'm spotting an upgraded throttle body, Big Tube inlet and CAI intake kit on there right off the bat. And those are only the things I "can" see in the quick underhood video....what else has he (you) neglected to mention in the parts breakdown of the set up.

Also, assuming that's a real Roush? If so, iit's got an upgraded cat back over the standard GT as well. So...I wouldn't say it's stock in comparison to a standard GT.

Strip off all of that extra stuff and put a stock GT exhaust on there for me and see what kind of numbers you come up with.

Come to think of it....haven't we argued about this before? I don't think you answered me then either?

i didnt count the KB inlet kit. the car had roush gauges and seats but it is just a plain GT. it is 9 PSI. i've seen it on 2 different gauges now.

the car is a FREAK! no doubt about that. i would swear it had cams if i didnt know better.

anyways i'm not trying to sidetrack this thread. KB power is FUN!!!!

Not trying to further derail, nor am I calling you a liar, but upgrading things on both the inlet and exhaust end will drop manifold pressure an any level of degree, so don’t always believe what the boost gauge reads. A person could easily drop manifold pressure by opening things up on the inlet/outlet side, then swap out to a smaller supercharger pulley, thus increasing airflow and bringing manifold pressure back up into the stock (for the base intercooled kit that is) 9psi range. I would explain his higher/broader torque figures as well.

I’m personally running an ultra small 2.35” blower pulley on my set up and only seeing about 9.5 psi on my gauge. But I’ve also opened things up on both ends and am running ported heads. Boost although a good general indicator, doesn’t tell the whole story.

They do....as well as a 2.0L and 2.2L. They're both made by Opcon. You just can't buy them direct from Kenne Bell.

i dont know what else to tell you. like i said the dyno doesnt lie. i know whats done to the car, if you dont believe it then it's no big deal, i'm not here to argue it. i posted the video, you see the numbers, it is a FREAK car.

my car always made low numbers (old setup), that one makes really high numbers.

any more info i can get for you guys?

Yeah, I thought that as well. It looks as though they started with the stock 9psi program and just bolted up the 14psi pulley without any adjustments to the tune. Pretty dangerous if you ask me. I would much rather see a consistent 11.5-11.8 AFR across the board.

It might explain the low horsepower numbers as well. Although I've never seen one make the 500rwhp that Kenne Bell has claimed, I have seen them for the most part run into the 440-450hp range on average.

there are only a handfull of places to order a kb supercharger from and almost all of them are cutomised by the shops that sell them like mph and jmschip. I would just buy it direct from kb.

i havent installed a kb but i did install my vortech and it took me all weekend to complete since i was working alone %90 of the time. I looked into getting a kb and read through the instructions a few times and it doesnt seem that hard. my vortech was cake except for the belt. the way i look at it is if you can change your brakes and have general mechanical skills you can probably install any supercharger.

I would buy anywhere else but KB. At least with JMS and MPH you'll get some customer service to go along with it. You'll get next to none when you buy direct from Kenne Bell. The price is the same regardless. Not to mention I'd trust an MPH or JMS dyno tune over Kenne Bells blanket chip tune any day of the week.

install wasnt too bad. just take your time and its pretty easy. this was my second blower install. the first was a procharger on my brothers 07 which had far less stuff to do than the KB lol.

took about 14hours i would say to get it on mainly cause my dad kept putting stuff on wrong and i was telling him while he was in the process of installing it thats not right and he didnt. lol o well i could only really do small stuff cause i cant really stand up to hold anything heavy.

but just take your time and its pretty easy. we also had the car out at a hobby shop on quantico and put the car on a lift and got to use all there tools and that helped out a good bit.
