Keep EGR spacer or ditch it?

I've got the top of my motor off to replace an intake gasket and am considering eliminating the EGR spacer and bolting my throttle body directly to the intake. I'm running a Trick Flow Track Heat with the TFS EGR spacer. I've seen some people eliminating the spacer but most don't. My emissions system is completely disabled utilizing a Super Chip and most of it has been remove already. What are the pro's and con's of removing the spacer?

You still need an EGR delete plate so that you can bolt up the throttle cable bracket. They are about a 1/2" thick and you can pick them up on ebay.

I did the same thing that you are talking about and used the delete plate and had interference issues with the throttle cable bracket and the FPR. I ended up making some spacers to move the bracket away from the FPR enough so that it would clear. Other than that its a bolt up fit.
