I have been thinking long and hard about getting a newer modular mustang. My GT has a couple things that still needs fixed...like a hood and paint. And its auto...I'd rather have a manual.

So I was thinking about upgrading. Can't decide if I want to get a mod or just fix and supercharge mine. Choices choices.

What kind of gas mileage would mod car get? I get 190miles to a tank.

COmpared to my fox, I love my 00 gt because I drive it daily and its very creature comfy as far as the interior goes. I miss some of the exterior styling from the fox. As far as gas millage, I do about 60% highway and 40% city, and the 40% city Im not easy on the loud pedal I get around 25mpg. 80% city and 20% highway I get around 20mpg. I can get almost 300 miles to a tank with 60% highway driving, but usually I like to fill at 1/4 tank

Depends on how you drive. There are ays where i have gone through a half a tank in 2 hours...and days i can drive all week on half a tank.

Best i've gotten is 27-28MPG on the highway. 03+ has a slightly taller 5th gear which is 0.63......equal to the Cobra's 6th gear ratio.

Can't afford a Cobra. I hate to say it but I have found some LS1/6 speed z28's for better deals than mod mustangs. Found a 2001 Z28 today with 62k for 9200$. I have found a few 99 GT's in that range also.

I hate to say it but I may be going back to the dark side. I haven't decided yet.

Personally, I'd just keep the 95 GT. Motor's a lot easier/cheaper to mod and nab parts for, and as said, the 99+ interiors are pretty much identical to the '94-95 models, anyway, so you'd really be gaining next to nothing. Save your bucks for go-fast parts for what you've got and make the most of it...

...unless, of course, you wanna trade for a slightly used '89 notchback... ;)

I would trade for a nice 5.0 notch. I have always loved them.

I got the 95 off my dad for 500$. Interior is almost perfect but the hood paint is flying off when I drive lol. A new hood and paint and it would look great.

I had to do some work to it to get it running ok but as is its not to bad. Still idles pretty bad and occasionally stalls out. I finally figured out that my cats were clogged and the h pipe made it run much better.

I just hope this thing doesn't become a giant money pit like my last 2 camaros...
