satisfied KB customer here. Mine's been on for two weeks. The kick in it is nothing short of amazing. Remember that scene from Gone in 60 Seconds when Nicholas Cage hits the juice in the drainage basin....its a lot like that - but from idle to redline.
The install - including gauges took about 16 hours. It actually may have gone faster to split the work over two days, but we knocked it out in one....very, very tired at the end. The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow.
On another point, I've got nothing but the highest praise for their customer service. After my install, I took it to a shop to be dyno'd. I made the mistake of letting their guy run up the car while I shot video outside....big mistake. Turns out the guy - for whatever insane reason, didn't floor it. When I got a 335 rwhp number with a curve that was all over the place, I faxed my dyno sheet to KB. I was pretty steamed. Within 15 min, Jim Bell calls me and we start trouble shooting what was wrong with the kit. I went back the the same shop the next day and ran it up again...this time to only 5200 rpm. My numbers were 390 rwhp and 425 torque. This time the curve looked exactally like they advertise and what has been in Muscle Mustangs and 5.0 Mustangs. Throughout the run, I was gaining a steady 3-5 rwhp per 100 rpm and it was still climbing steadily at shut down. Until we figured out that it was just a case of an inept dyno operator, KB was all over the problem. Frankly, I can't recall that level of customer service from any other purchase no matter what the type.
Oh yea, I'm showing 10 psi of boost from the moment I floor it and the thing is whisper quiet. While the intake makes a cool and very noticable sucking sound, I can't hear the blower over my exhaust until around 4500 rpm.
