Do it yourself its not that hard trust me. My brother and myself did mine in like 19 hours total, drinking Coors light the whole time . Its not hard, just time consuming!!

basic intercooled kit is about $4900. With the accessories (tb, big tube...), it will run around $5500. I got quoted $900 for install of the full 9psi kit (intercooled with big tube.....).

Anyone know if that kit would fit under the hood of a '96 4.6L Mercury Cougar? So far my only options are the AED or FRPP. The AED is a very nice kit, but the twin screw is still the better blower.

Wow. Thats almost turbo-level pricing. I was starting to lean toward the KB, but if its going to be that high, I may try to go turbo.

Yeah, but you won't get the bottom end jam with a turbo or the overall driveability, like you will with a KB.

true but turbo labor will be more and you have to also get an aftermarket kmember...lots of piping/heat issues..u also need a good tune and new fuel system....and for us in cali none of the turbo kits are CARB certified so we can only get the KB/centris....
KB offers a nice packaged solution with no hassle..my 0.02...but I agree, turbos are nice
