Kenne Bell install-HELP!!

I am in the process of installing my KB supercharger and notice I think I have something missing. I am missing the IAT sensor that screws into the manifold. It is aft of the ECT sensor. Is the IAT sensor installed to the manifold at the factory? This sensor is not in the kit anywhere. Please help me out. For those with a KB refer to the manual - step 169. I have no sensor.

the iat is built into the MAF on our cars.. I have a lightning MAF and it doesnt have one.. so I dont use it..

if you have a stang newer than 2000 is it part of your maf. Just follow the directions through those steps. They require you to snip off those wires and create a connector piece at the ends. I will check my book in a sec.

Yeah, the IAT sensor is now pre-installed in the KB manifold. All you are doing is just making a connector. If you have a problem, just pm me and hopefully I can help.

mine is a late 2001 model and the IAT sensor is seperate from the MAF. that part threw me through a loop. KB is kinda screwed up in the directions when it comes to vehicle years and applications.

I thought only the 2002 and later Gts have the factory 85mm mass air with the built in IAT sensor , which T&Js is hardwiring me another one behind my blower tomorrow morning I wouldnt think you would have to change this on a roots or KB blower since its usually inline behind the MAF sensor , unless the KB locates it in the manifold to get a more accurate temp after the air is compressed , if so that would be a better reading and anybody with one built in the mass air would have at hard wire it into the factory MAF harness which hopefully I can watch Tim close enough tomorrow for him to teach me how to do that .. If I learn anything I will post it on here

The IAT sensor at step 169 is pre-installed from Kenne Bell. Just plug the new harness extension you made into it. The old sensor was in the MAF on some cars, while older ones were next to the MAF. KB just hacks into the original wireing for the sensor and redirects the harness to their sensor that is in the intake. The little white arrow at step 167 shows the sensor without the wire connected and step 169 show a hand pushing the new wire connector on it. Good luck with the rest of the install.
