Well I installed the HU last night using the scosche FAI-3A interface and the wiring harness adapter. It comes on but I get no sound. Does the interface need to be grounded? Does the wire from the new harness labeled p cont need to be hooked up? This is pretty discouraging since I followed the schematics and nothing. Any ideas

Well I hooked up the remainder of the wires and it didn't work. So I checked the plugs again and the smaller of the connectors I guess wasn't making contact. So now every thing works. Only I think I might have to check my dimmer wires as it is the only function not working. So when I adjust the gain how far up do you tweek them?

The gain is not a volume,but meant to match the volts put out from the H/U.The easiest way is to turn the volume up about 3/4 of the way on the unit and adjust the gain to where it STARTS to distort.The correct way is to use a DVOM,but thats too involved.

thanks for the info I plan on doing that sometime today. I noticed that the HU seems to make the stock system sound clearer. At least i think it does.
