The keyless entry no longer works after using it on an almost dead battery. Does not respond with lock/unlock during the reprogram sequence either. None of the buttons work.

I hope this is just a blown fuse. I dont have the owners manual so any help finding the right fuse would be appriciated. Also if there are any other suggestions what might be wrong. Everything else appears to work..including power locks from the inside.

Thanks

Hows the battery in the remote?

Did the battery in the car go dead? If so, you might need to reprogram the remote.

Thanks for replying. I dont think the battery in the remote is the problem as this happened when the 12 v battery was almost empty and the locks kind of hesitated when opening. I didnt have any problems at all with in before the car battery was bad (ie intermittent working etc). After trying to start the car (which ofcourse didnt work) the keyless didnt work when trying to lock.

Yesterday I tried to re-program the remote but I didn't even get the luck/unlock sequence which should occur after eight turns with the key to ACC.

I'm hoping its just the fuse but they are really stuck in the box so I basically just need to know which one it is so I can check it and get back..

Somebody must have a fuse diagram for the 00 GT

Be sure to leave the key in the acc position and also turn it eight time VERY QUICKLY. Hopefully your keyless modual didn't bunk out.
