I have weaved in and out of traffic at 100+, gone on 150+ mph speed runs, driven with a suspended license, and driven with no insurance (though not all at the same time ). Mostly when I was about Ryan's age. So I cannot say much other than "I guess you just learned how expensive being a dumbass can be." Luckily I didn't get caught for most of my asshattery.

he wasnt the most dangerous driver on the road. When i took driver's ed some 7 years ago, our instructor told us that 7 out of 10 drivers on the road after 11 are in mini vans and 5 out of those are intoxicated. This tells me pull over more mini vans. I dont know if it is still true but it was in a text book.

The fine was $245 for anything over 95 (20 ove rthe 70 mph limit).

I paid $260 because the lady at the courthouse (tiny town, she was the only one that worked there other than the occasional judge) told me that if I paid more than $10 too much they had to send a check back for the difference. If the check wasnt cashed, they could never close the file. If they couldnt close the file, they couldnt report the infraction to the state or to insurance.

I will make no claims to the mechanics of it, but that was what she told me, and the ticket never appeared on my record and insurance never found out about it (that Im aware of). You would have thought they would cancel someone for that...or at least raise their rates. This didnt happen.

And I should still have that $15 check around somewhere...

Besides... shouldnt you be out fixing your Taurus?

"The Guy" that operates the dyno at torque freaks has a civic. He told me it has run a best of 11.8 in the quarter. It is white and fairly simple, visually.

umm yea...makes around 350hp on pump gas and 500hp on race gas. And looks stock. Freakin awesome for a import. Hard to not respect those numbers, and the fact that it is tastefully done, not riced out.
