I am so happy with my new King Cobra clutch from Astro Performance Wharehouse. Not sure if it will grip 400 rear tire HP (claimed) but it sure has enough for my street car. And the pedal effort is half the amount of my old clutch factory GT clutch. I did a complete clutch job which included a new stock weight flywheel (old one had a lot of stress cracks), new rear engine seal, new TO bearing, new pilot bearing, and new steel bearing retainer. I also replaced my cross-member bushings (they looked pretty good) and tranny mount (Shot) with new poly units. Clutch effort is as light as many vacuum assisted ones I have driven but it still retains good feel. My original clutch had 122,000 miles on it and it was pretty well shot but still worked and did not slip. I did keep my heavy duty cable which is old but still looks pretty new and works fine. I am puzzled that some have said these clutches are stiff cause mine is so smooth. Maybe not all King Cobra clutches are created equal!! :nice:
