Knock

whenever i put the car into first, than shift to second there is a sudden faint knock towards the back of the car. It also happens when i'm accelterating and then suddenly have to lift i get the knock again. I was thinking it could be the U joints on the driveshaft going bad, anyone had this happen or have any idea what the problem could be?

yeah, check the u-joints.

Check the u-joints, and the pinion seal, mine clunked like that when the pinion seal was leaking and there wasn't enough fluid in the rear diff.

Alright i'll check the U joints and seal, it snowed a couple of feet here last night so i guess i'll have some free time. Thanks for you help

Maybe one of your d/s bolts came out and thge d/s itself is clunking..inspect everything back there.

u joints mine vibrated horribly over like 70 and there was a knock also
