Hello fellow owners and fanatics, I own a 1996 svt cobra mustang that had recently what was a rattling sound when I accelerated mainly at low speeds to now a knocking from what I believe to be in or around the transmission only when I accelerate, and this knocking causes me to slow down and does not stop or get much quieter at higher speeds. I plan on looking into it with my father, but im hoping someone here will have fixed a similar issue or know how or what the problem is.
Thanks in advance be safe and have fun!

I'm not sure I understand what you're describing.

Does the knocking speed up or slow down?
If so, does it speed up and slow down with engine rpm or vehicle speed?
Does the frequency of the knocking change when you go into a new gear?
Does it matter if the vehicle is cold or hot or whether start after a few miles or is it constant?

Yes the knocking progresses as speed does and only occurs while accelerating. Does not matter if its hot or cold it is always there and slows me down as I accelerate.
