I have never been, what is the Saleen turnout like? I am really considering flying in for this as I only have read about it in the Mustang Magazines. Is it worth it....seriously. I wanna bring the car down but its hard to justify logging that many miles for a 1 day event. Is there car stuff on Fri and/or Saturday as well? Any info would be great,

tks Cory

You could always stop in Vegas on your way to/from LA to check out the Summit Winter Nationals.....
That how I'm going to justify the trip.

Ahh, good pt, although I was just in Vegas last wkend, which burns a person out quite quickly....if you know what I mean:D

I am surprised by the low response. Perhaps not many Saleen owners are planning to attend this yrs event?

Last year there were well over thirty Saleens, not counting the corporate cars that Saleen brought. I highly recommend attending the show! Besides the Saleens, there are all the hundreds of other Mustangs, Fords, Lincoln, Mercs, etc. You can get together with the local SCOA people as well.

Ya gatta go at least once in your life.

I was going to post a thread about a week prior to Knott's asking who from this forum is planning on attending. Obviously someone has beaten me to the proverbial punch.

I'll be attending just like I do every year. It will be interesting to be amongst the Saleens once again after a year in semi-retirement. I sold my '89 Saleen Mustang two months prior to last year's Knott's show & attended instead with my '99 SVT Contour (the Tropic Green one, in case anyone noticed it).

This year I'll have my '98 Saleen Cobra Speedster for the first time. That will be three years attending with three different cars; something I've never before done.

At this time it looks like I may be flying in Sat. night and going to the show Sunday, then flying home Sunday night :)

If anybody needs help shuffling an extra Saleen to the show, I promise not to kill any traffic cones (this time) :)
