All in ultra lite.. Anyone know of any other ones that there are out there? looking to have them all..

Well, my old air cooled Porsche 911 had a dry sump oil system, and it had a gauge to tell you the oil level in the sump. Somebody make an oil level gauge for you? And a buddy just made a custom gauge (thanks B) that shows me how fast (0-100%) my variable speed electric cooling fans are turning -- and it matches all my factory Volvo-VDO gauges complete with the correct Volvo logo.

Michael Yount,
:hail2: I thought a dipstick was as good as it gets. Then I got a low oil light with my stang, still works. Thats just crazy, did it read correctly when cold or when running? I will guess the latter, so you can see if the sump goes dry under heavy braking and such.

ucanbeatme,

I guess so, cause when are you going to find time to shift and drive while watching all those guages. :D

gotta remember that some of those old oil-cooled motors hold upwards of 12 quarts of oil (that would hurt when running synthetic)..... but i too am curious how it worked. was it like a fuel sender? interesting. :)

UCBM, do you have a washer fluid temp gauge? seriously, that is a nice array of gauges. do you have a dash anymore? pics?

Michael, the fan speed gauge sounds awesome - i know you said sometimes you cant hear the fans. that is pretty neat (very fun to look at while in traffic, etc. :) ) did Brian do it? sounds like a nice piece!

No, but when i do take some i will post them... I know that i don't need most of them but it is just something that most people don't have.. The most that i have seen in a mustang has been 11.. So i wanted to beat him.. It might sound like alot but they look good.. Doesnt really look like theres to many.. fits very well.. Ill have to see about that sump and the electric fan gauges.. anyother ones? Thanks

I dunno, fuel temperature? Water pressure? Interior temperature? Paint thickness? Tire blackness? :D Why do you want all those gauges? Your interior is going to look like a Cessna cockpit.

AC

Don't forget pressure altitude. You can put it right next to the air/fuel guage.

thanks.. oil pressure nice ill have to find a another place to put it
Not to be a dik, but why in the *** would you have 18 guages and not bother to have the one gauge that you really need?! So is it safe to assume that you are monitoring a stock engine with all this high tech gaugery?

Lets see some pictures of this beast :bs:

Mike, i was curious too. UCBM, how about other readings? (cylinder temps, brake pressure, trans temp - if a manual, and pyrometer readings)...
im just curious. :)
