I'm about to replace tires on my daily driven (no track time) 94 GT. I've heard nothing but good things about the 712's, but what about the 711's? Would these be OK for a daily driver?

In my opinion they both wear down to fast. I'd go with Nitto Drag Extremes.

I have had the 712's for 3 years... loved them! I got about 40K of wear out of a set (pretty aggressive street driver.. what can I say?) I loved their resistance to hydroplaning and they were quiet. They looked great too. I would run them now but they don't come in 315's.

I've never heard of the 711's I thought it was a typo in your post. Anyways 10k miles and several burnouts and trips to the track and parking lot autocrossing and my 712's dont show much wear at all. I expect to get between 20 and 30k miles out of them easily. On the other hand they suck for your 60ft at the track. But you dont go there so I'd say there a good all around warm weather (wet/dry) tire. And you cant beat them for the price.
