Anyone using/used KYB shocks/struts? I need to replace the whole shabang and don't like/won't pay the extreme price for bilstein or koni. I don't want to use parts store stuff either ie...monroe, gabriel. KYB seems to be priced about right and maybe a good compromise in the middle. I'm going to replace the struts, shocks, and quads all at the same time. All on the car appear to be original  Oh, I have already replaced the springs with the FMS "C" kit.

KYB are the best bang for the buck strut/shock out there IMO. They are alot better than stock or replacments but cheaper. They might not ride quite as smooth but we ain't buildin' caddies here. I ran them on my old car, run them on my foxbody, and I put them on my beater. I am replacing them with Lakewood 90/10's and 50/50's probally next week, they are still good as when I bought them but I'm going full drag. I'll probally keep them if I get another mustang or sell them if I can get something for them.

Thanks for the kwik replies. Sounds like they will work good for what I need. These C spring are so stiff the suspension doesn't travel much anyways :hail2: I love these springs.

I'm looking and there is quite a price difference in the KYB non and adjustables. I might just go with non-adjustable, it handles very well now. Should be great with new ones. I don't get these lil quad shocks, they're more than the rear shocks. :bs:

Thanks 90, I been looking hard at control arms too. These stock units suck.

The rear end is probally the worse link in the suspesnsion. The KYB's are going to make the car stick to the road alot better and the springs will take out body roll and keep it in one position but the car will probally not quite feel stable. The rear end is trying to steer itself. Great for a 2500HD with a trailor and fire engines but not for our cars. :D
