My nieghbor has a set of L/T headers with a x-pipe that he's wanting to get rid of for a 250$. It's a great deal and I would love to get them but I'm not sure if there will be any clearance issues with my auto tranny. He had them on his 5-speed and can't use them with his turbo kit he's in the process of putting on. so.....

1. Will they fit or do they make a different set for auto trannies?

2. What kind of gains could I expect if they work?

i was always lost on that too...i thought you could only go shorties w/ an auto...but i see ppl's sigs saying they have long tubes so i dunno...and i never see any longtubes on any sites that are made for auto's...i just see 5-speeds

I just found this for the Mac L/T's

If you cross refrence the part # for the 5-speed and for the auto's it's the same #

TF9625 1996-2004 2V Mustang 1-5/8" Long Tube Headers-HTS Coated $349.99
TF9603 1996-2004 2V Mustang 1-5/8" Long Tube Headers-Ceramic Coated $449.99

so I think it will work. I'm just wondering what kind of hp/tq #'s to expect. I'm sure it's prob worth the price (250 with x-pipe)

Mac LT's, Mac o/r H, Magnapack catback here. I dont know how itll sound with the x, I dont like x pipes myself. But yes the Mac LT's will fit with the auto tranny and youll notice the difference in power. Check out my site for some sound clips.

Supposedly the macs and hookers will fit. With the mac you have to loosen the passenger header if you need to work on the transmission. You do not have to take the hookers off but people bitch about it rubbing the steering shaft. I have seen people say BBK will work if you cut the passenger flange and reweld it 90 degrees. Depressing aint it.

Well I checked with my neighbor and it is a set of BBK's. I'll just see if I can get em on and if I can't then I'll just give them back to him. I was just wanting to get some feedback before I went to the pain of taking mine off and trying to put the other one's on just to find out they don't work.

PROCHARGER: If yours worked then it's worth a try, since it's such a good deal on the headers anyway.
