ok well i have an '84 svo, i am doing a rebuild on the turbo and on the engine. first i want to put a new computer in it. i have a LA2 computer, but i am not sure how to go about installing it. i know i have to change pins, but i cant find any infromation on how to do the swap correctly. the second thing is the intercooler that is in teh svo is just the stock system. what type of intercooler is best to use for more hp and where is thh best place to install it and how. thank you for your help.

front mounting is a better place to put them. You can actually use the Stock intercooler and Front mount it and still see a gain, but alot of people like to use big truck intercoolers or larger car intercoolers. If you have the money spearco's are really nice.

Here's the specific instructions you need.

We have the same cars, I just put in a LA2 actually, rebuilt and matched browntops and an ACT sensor - just a coule of weeks ago. It's a breeze, idles better, more torque, fuel mileage jumped big time! I think I'll be running a few more psi of boost as soon as I figure out this darn miss issue my car's had the last several months. Do it!

If you are low budget like I am (on the SVO anyway), email me and I'll shoot you pics of my FMIC on my SVO. I just used a TC IC. Simple option if you are on a budget. REALLY impressive improvements. The cold side line is alway's cold now. No more pinging at 20 psi.

-good luck!

I'd be interested in those pics. If you can email them to me at [email protected] or just post them here, I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for intercooler options for when I swap the TC motor into the Notch.
Thanks,
