Well. I just put some ladder bars on the Ranger to help with axle wrap.
But I have a few questions. I had to make the attachment point of the bars rather high, because I do drive a 4x4, and there was no way I was having bars hang a foot below the frame, so the lower bar would be parallel with the ground. Not happening.
So with the bars on, now the rear end rises under acceleration. I know this is due to the fact that the bars mount so high. I have over 100% antisquat.
Now I have rear that this will hit the tires very hard.
Finally, my question is, how can this be bad for getting my truck to hook up?
Are there any disadvantages to have the rear lift? It plant the tires very well, and now barely spins the tires on a 1-2 shift in the rain! Never had that happen before! It feels strange to be able to grip in the rain. Anyway...
What else am I missing? Could this situation pose a problem in any way?
And what would you do to alter the setup?
I know this is a Mustang board, but everyone has always been helpful.
Thanks
