Just purchased a Tweecer RT, is there anything I should look for in a laptop? Is one operating system better then another? 98/2000/XP office? I'm not really sure how involved this program is, so I'm not sure what proccessor speed would be recomended.

There aren't really any requirements for the twEECer to run, other than it needs Windows 98/2K/XP and a USB port or a USB 32bit CardBus card. That's it, and you don't need much if all you're gonna be using it for is the twEECer.

A few months back I bought a Dell 2200 Inspiron for this very purpose... It was $600.00 out the door (shipped).. and came with an internal wireless card... I typically make changes to tunes down stairs at the dinner table, and then just walk into the garage and load them up.. Works great, but an overkill if your looking for the basic...

I would say anything over 233mhz will work...

Thanks for the replies. I know at work we always have some computer programs that run better on some operating systems then others. Wanted to make sure I had all my bases coverd.

Rockin Rick, How's the PLX wideband? Does that data log directly into the laptop? I haven't really researched the use of a wideband with the Tweecer RT yet.

By the way, I bought the tweecer for my future combo (408 or high reving 347), figured I'd start using it now on a simpler combo to get the hang of it. Rumor has it I can send my JMS chip to Tweecer and they'll decode it for me.

Win98 IS fine as long as it is SE.

SE had USB and the first release of Win98 did not.

Anyway, you need the usb to connect to the Tweecer.

I use Win98SE with no probs.
