Ok the computer itself is located behind the passenger kick panel in my 1997 gt. Now when I get my SCT chip does that plug into the connection on the drivers side basically right where my gas pedal leg is?? or does it go into the computer itself on the passenger kick panel. sorry for all these questions bear with my guys, thanks.

It goes into the ACTUAL computer.

The plug under your steering wheel is the 0DBII port.

when you take your comp out of the kick panel it will go in the very top part you will have to remove the black cover of the top then with a brillo pad remove the glue that is on there...make sure your batt is disconnected..

You can use a razor blade, sandpaper, or the brillo pad (as suggested) to get that residue off. Make sure you clean all of it off of the connectors or it might not work right.

if you get the flasher, it plugs into the OBDII port.

the chip goes in the computer as stated.
