Late Model Resto 5 lug kit?

Anybody have any experience with it? I need to replace my front rotors very much bad, and was looking at the Laurel Mountain Power Slot/EBC kit they sell for about $260. The 5 lug kit doesn't have power slot's, and is $400. I've always tried to upgrade when a part is replaced, and this would be a great time to swap out to the 10th anniversery cobras I want...opinions?

Also, this would give me the perfect excuse to swap gears...geesh these ideas snowball quick...

im not sure, but i dont think the wheels you want will work that well with that kit. theyll probably mount just fine but you probably wont be able to run the centercaps on the front without a spacer. the kit itself should be ok (i know the axles are supposed to be stronger than stock), but as with any lincoln-based conversion wheel choices are limited.

There are a lot of other wheels I like. Close to the top of the list is these from Konig/Maximum Motorsports:

Your best bet would be to hit your local boneyard and get sn95 stuff. I did my conversion today with ns95 front spindles, Cobra calipers, 13" rotors, and rear drum axles. I don't have the time/money right now to convert the rear to disk. But sticking with ranger drums in the rear made the conversion pretty cheap.

The packaged kits are good, but tend to be expensive compared to getting the parts you need yourself. Man, I LOVE boneyards.

If you go with any 5-lug hub set up, you can't run most 5-lug rims because the center of the hub sticks out too far to put on the center caps. With the sn95 setup it has seperate rotors and shallow hub, so those rims will work.

The 5-lug upgrade thing is a huge snowball waiting to happen. You wind up throwing down all the money for big brakes, 31 spline axles, new diff, 18" wheels, tires to match... plus all the miscellaneous details and surprises that'll pop up - usually expensive.

Unfortunately those wheels won't fit the Lincoln Mark 7 rotors...which is what these rotors in the kit basically are.

Ok then, killed that idea. For now it will just have to be replacement 4 lug rotors, prolly powerslot...
