Late Model T5 in my 69 302?

I'm new to stangnet so I don't know if this has been discussed lately or not, but I am considering putting a T5 from a late model 5.0 in my 1969 302. I currently have a three speed automatic, an I figure that a 5-speed would be able to handle engine modifications better, like possible new camshaft, gears, and other misc. modifications. So do guys think this is a good Idea, or do you know if it is a hard project to do???

We did the changeover to a t-5 in my 65 fastback. It was a pretty simple installation. The website in my link sells t-5 conversion kits.

I have heard that you have to change the input shaft on the tranny first is this true?
