I put this in Talk but no one responded so i'll try here.

Whats everyone doing? I've got the car in my sig with 235's for DR's. I know they're a little small but they actually fit in the fenderwell perfect with no hammering of the lip which is what I wanted.
Are you going around the water box or through it? Are you guys doing a real smokey burnout or just giving it a good hop? I did a moderate burnout, just a little smoke, and I tried launching at 2500rpms and it just spin. I had to let off quick to gain traction back. I got a 60' time of 2.4 on that run. Then I launched at just a hair over idle and then rolled it on and it help fine, powershifted into 2nd and didnt spin a bit. I got a 60' time of 2.0 on that run.
Im just wondering what everyone else is doing to get decent 60' times.

Well...whats you tire pressure at? It looks like you have a stock suspension....so i wouldnt be looking for anything too spectacular but 2.0 does sound a little high. What gear did you do your burnout in? I would suggest drop the pressure to about 15# and do a smokey burnout. You should be able to launch alot higher than 2500 rpm. Are you just dropping the clutch?

I have BBK lowering springs so its not stock and I know thats hurting me. No im not launching on spray, i've got a window switch with a 3300 chip in and also a WOT switch. And yes im basically dumping the clutch. I ran 25 psi in the tires for the 2.0 run.

My setup is similar to yours. I have FMS lowering springs, stock control arms, weld 15x8 Draglites with MT DRs 235/60/15. I removed my front swaybar, and relocated my battery to the trunk. I experienced the same as you to begin with so I called MT and they told me to drop the tire pressure to 14-15psi and do a mild burnout. I pulled off a 1.7 , 60ft with launching on a 150 shot. It spins, but not near as bad. I have a window swich, but can't seem to get it to work right so I just use the WOT switch.

12 psi is about ideal, i got 1.7 60's on bone stock suspension. i wouldnt do a nasty burnout or anything, id just rev it up and dump the clutch. i left hard with my old car with the rear end i had, like 4200 or so and it barely spun but did wheelhop a lil bit. 15 is too high trust me.

You'd just dump the clutch on the launch or doing the burnout? I reved it to 3000 and dumped the clutch the first on the motor only and it spun pretty bad. But I dont think my burnout was good enough, pretty tough to do a good burn out with no line lock I think. I kind of dont like the idea of slipping the clutch, i'd rather lose a little bit of combined times and save on the wear and tear of the clutch.
