Had a great day working on the cars today - put on my lower control arms (D&D Motorsports econo box) and boy was that an easy job thanks to Sam (sage2k) helping out.

The arms themselves went on with no problems - had a bit of a time getting the swaybar of all things put back on right and getting the parking brake and abs bracket on there too.

Ended up reversing the stock clips that the sway bar bolts onto and using a grade 8 nut and bolt for the rear holes of the swaybar to mount the bracket (after a slight modification) back on. Came out looking factory.

After that we installed an EGR block plate (EGR has been turned off in the EEC for a while now). The Mach 1 even got some love today... I changed the oil and took her for a spin.

The control arms seem to force the tires to the ground and keep it from moving side to side. It's hard to burn out on the Nittos now.

After that we tackled some mods on Sam's ride - I'll let him post on those.

Wes

EDIT: Going to the track tomorrow... we'll see how much the UCA/LCAs really help.

I don't know if you can handle that level of old schooledness!

No school like the old school!

Nooo... it's old and slow. It probably puts down high 15s if I had to guess.

Well track results are in - I ended up cutting about the same 60fts as I did a couple weeks ago. Time were about the same - 14.094, 14.193, 14.127 and 14.149 about 0.05-0.1 slower because of the air? It was 55deg last weekend with low humidity, upper 70s today with some humidity. MPHs were all between 95.46 and 95.88

I still don't think I'm heating my Nittos up enough... hard to get a decent burnout w/ the stall and my lack of power.

60's were 1.938, 1.981, 1.941 and 2.003 (tried launching about 1,500rpm into the stall).

The control arms threw off my butt-o-meter so I'm not sure how much I was spinning.

Next time out I'll have to play with the burnout a bit more... only got four passes in today - had a lot of cars leaking fluid on the track.
