LCA/UCA Write up

remove the old ones and put the new ones in

ive done lowers but never messed with the uppers

for the lowers you need to support the rear from someplace other then the axle

place a jack under the pumpkin and jack it up a little

remove the sway bar and unbolt the shocks

then you can lower the axle and should be able to remove the springs

then you can remove the LCA's

uppers..

I agree that Maximum Motorsports has great instructions available for printing right from their site, I don't like their recommendation on spring removal........it's a little, shall we say..........dangersous:nono: I would suggest using an external spring collapse tool and an air gun..........it's a much safer way to get springs in and out.

I think I got mine at Sears.

Uppers are a piece of cake once the springs are out......just four bolts and viola'.

If you are already lowered, you really dont need a spring compressor, just unbolt the quad shock and the strut and then push down on the axle while pulling the spring out. It was a little hard getting the stocker out, but its a piece of cake with my c springs.
