just kiddin man

Far as your car Handz, theres things i dont like, and things i do like about it.. to each their own. If he wants cobra looks with GT innards, go for it I say.. a cobra isn't sacred.. its the last thing to worry about demolishing like a gt

Trust me.. there is NO point in telling people it is a real cobra. Looking under the hood kinda tells it all and makes me look even worse...

And Iam sure everyone on here thinks now that Iam some Huge Doushbag for my Fobra, but its my 1st mustang and yes Iam still learning everyday about it more and more. I guess i learned a good lesson...

Maybe to make everyone else happy i'll put some 99-04 GT badges on (as long as people dont make fun of me for that too for it being the wrong year and all.. jk)

I looked at the pictures and thought it looked amazing! I didnt even see the cobra badges until everyone else started bashing you for it. Im not into putting cobra badges on a non cobra, but to each their own and to be totally honest it doesnt take away from your cars looks, it still looks freegin sick! Paint really stands out as well.

And dont mind SRT Handz, hes really big into smoking pot (legally per his doctor) and sometimes gets stuck on a rant. Most likely he is high, so dont pay any attention to the rudeness factor. Just take his opinion and drop how its worded.

srt handz just seems like he's really upset that even though that "FOBRA" doesnt have a 4v it would still take his gt even with his racing harnesses.

And also, his car DOES have a cobra rear bumper on it. I know because I have his stock GT bumper. Plus I installed his bumper.

I always wanted a cobra but ended up with a fobra. I'm just a poor college student At least I don't go around telling people that I have a cobra. People ask all the time, "is that a cobra" I just say nope it's just a gt, I wish it was. Plus I bought the car as is, over the summer. The previous owner put all the dress ups on it, I just added gears, DS and a TB/Plenum combo to it when I got the car. Soon to come is a o/r X

To the OP: Its your car and the neat thing about it being yours is you can do what the F you want. It looks good IMO, when I first saw it I thought "thats a clean Cobra". Before I bought my Cobra I was looking at this killer 98 PI Vortech T- trim GT that was clean but he had all the Cobra stuff on it. My skin is thin and I did not want s%^t for having a Fobra. But with that car I would of saved a grand and it would of smoked my "real" Cobra

Well..... thanks :SNSign:

But, I REALLY wanted a cobra when i turned 18. Money pending i wasnt able to get one, and plus this is my 1st car over 150hp lol.. When i turned 16 i had a 74 plymouth Gold Duster with a slant6 225...(365,000 orginal miles, same motor/tranny/rearend) Then i had a 82 Datson 280zx "The talking Z car" with the inline 6 that was pretty much a dog.

When i bought my GT It was the fastest thing i had ever driven. Now with all this money into it, it took alot of learning, time, engery, blood, sweat, and tears...

Thus why i was trying for a better look....

Cobra aint a cobra without the VIN.

...when you sell the car the vin still says "Mustang GT"

with all the money you spent on apint and body work you could have just drop a 4V in and called it a day

Damn, how much does a pint cost these days? And, are you saying he was drunk when he decided to put those badges on there?

I kind of know how you feel. My first car was a 93 4dr civic. I definatly wanted something faster the first day I owned it. I as well am a guy in school and obviously don't have the money to own a Cobra. I got a GT instead and liked the look of a cobra. As long as YOU like it thats what counts. And yea it is hella clean IMO!

I can understanding liking the looks of a cobra (i.e. body panels) so that makes sense, but then why get the badges? That's just admitting that you in fact like the cobra, and not it's looks - just that it is a cobra and you want one too. No bueno

I'ma put F430 badges and spoiler on mine

Yea, when I did mine I used 99-04 GT badges. The only thing that says or shows anything resembling a cobra emblem is on the wheels

LOL this thread is fuhnnnnny. to the op: dood sweet ride, looks like youve taken alot of time and dedication to it, and that's what being a car enthusiast is all about. like someone else said on here, take everything said with a grain of salt, after all this IS the inTURDnet and people love to say things they wouldnt normally say to your face Regardless of what is said here, you probably still turn heads and make panties drop when you roll by the locals, nah mean?

just think of all the v6's putting GT tags, or ricers putting on lambo doors. if what youre doing is to be shamed upon by the people of SN, then at LEAST youre at the top rung of the ladder by having a badass GT with (count em) 8 cylinders
