Let the kids take the Stang to prom last night

The first Mustang I had 4 weeks, and it just happened to be in the garage when my brother lit it on fire. Unfortunate electrical accident. The second Mustang had an electrical short under the dash, and it burned up on the side of I-95. Then a few years later, my MR2 caught fire on the same spot of I-95. The MR2 had a massive fire shoot out of the engine compartment, so I can only imagine that was a fuel line that burst or something like that.

Kurt,
remind me never to fly with you....................ever!
nothing against your aviation skills, just your luck....:rlaugh:
i agree w/ u though, just a car.......could be a life instead

Worst I ever had in an airplane was the nose gear collapse. Bent up the prop pretty good. I've had smoke inside the airplane a few times, and a few engines quit on me. Just to further my point, I would rather have bad luck in a car then in an airplane. Much rather have a car fire, than an airplane fire.

Little airplane engines quit sometimes. Had one go out on me in the clouds, almost put it down in a field, and then it suddenly came back to life. Had one not restart on me in a twin engine. Actually, had that happen twice. Had one fail in the pattern, got it back to the airport. Had one overheat suddenly, and stop producing usable power. Had the exhaust manifold fall off on another airplane. Fell off over a neighborhood, so it's probably in someone's pool. Had the engine mounts come loose on another one, thought the airplane was going to vibrate to pieces. I had a voltage regulator burn up, that was the smoke in the cockpit. I dropped the gear really quickly, and shut all the power off in the airplane, and it stopped burning, was able to fly it back to the airport with no electrical power. I had exhaust getting into the cockpit, twice. Both times the carbon monoxide dedector indicated unsafe levels. I've had unsafe gear indications multiple times. I've had a throttle cable jam. Had a prop governor runaway, twice. I think the worst though was when I had a bad chicken sandwich, and then tried to fly from Key West back to Flagler. Almost **** my pants half way across the gulf of Mexico. Spent 40 minutes in the bathroom in Naples. I could go on and on about airplane mishaps.
