p.s. I'm getting a shop to hone the engine but should I bore it .01" over because of the high milage? or will replacing it with stock pistons be ok?
Thank you for any help,

I was cruising down main street and my car started tapping so loud I couldn't hear myself curse. So I'm in the midst of pulling the engine...I phoned the junkyards and they want $500 CDN for a 2.3 with 144000kms I laughed and hung up the phone. I priced complete rebuild kit (bearings, rods, piston, crankshaft, rings, camshaft, and all the gaskets,) $625 CDN plus tax. I have an engine crane, engine stand, torque wrenches etc. Now here's the problem I'm 19 and I've read 10 different books on engine rebuilding I'm pretty sure I can do this but I wanted to know if anyone had any tips/pointers. I've almost got the engine out. The motor has 311000 on it so I know other things probably need changing.
