Tonight my car ran like crap, I drove from my school to the dragstrip which took like 20 minutes tops and i used a decent chunk of gas. my gas gauge like uses double of what it normally used before i had this ticking problem AND before that i had my 24lb. injectors and now i have my 19lb injectors and its worse now than when i had my 24's on. the tiniest amount of load i put on the motor i can hear this rocker tapping. If i just rev it up i can hear it ticking right as it starts to rev up. It must be killing my mileage b/c the valves arent closing all the way and not making good combustion etc. hence my loss of power since this happened. My rockers are nice and tight and were adjusted properly. I also have bucking/hesitation at part throttle/cruising which is from my timing being off, but i cant find the reason why my timing is at 60 degrees instead of 10, whether if i pull the spout connector in or out it still stays at around 60. I know its at 60 degrees b/c my timing gun has a dial on the back of it. I have talked to Jrichker and Hissin50 about this (thanks guys) and still cant figure out whats going on. At one time I had a code 18 (spout circuit grounded) if that helps at all.

sounds like your noise is actually an exhaust leak

No exhaust leaks at all, it was the first thing i checked. I have the timing pickup on the right wire, ive done it a hundred times before and its not my gun b/c it works fine on my friends stang car and i tried my friends good timing gun and does the same thing. It did this only right after i did my motor swap, the only thing electrical i had changed was 24lb injectors and Pro-m 75mm maf. I had switched back to my stock injectors and stock maf figuring it was the Pro-m maf that was bad but it still does the same thing with my stock maf. So something must have happened when i rehooked up all the connections right?
