http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/waisidx_99/49cfr571_99.html
shows the requirements for lighting on cars if you go to section:
571.108

It mentions amber lights are required for turn signals, and I've got some pretty clear marker lights. Could this be a problem for me? Anyone else have white turn lights?

I'm also curious to know what color lights are reserved for emergency vehicles. I think my friends' little blue "tire valve cap" lights are illegal, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks.

as long as your bulbs are amber, you should be fine as far as clear corners go. anything like underglows and stuff are illegal while driving, ruled a distraction. you can have them on the car, just not on when your driving. but then again, you can but not where cops are....

nothings illegal till a cop sees it.

Werd . If it says specifically that the "lights must be amber in color" (or something to the like) then use amber bulbs in your clear corners.

heh, "a distraction"...Seems like they've got a law for just about anything now.

well, my blinker/marker lights are about as "amber" as my current headlights. Has anyone ever been pulled over for this? Should I be worried?

edit: well, still haven't gotten pulled over, I won't worry about it...and if it happens, I'll just change them out. I like the look right now, and it's not like people can't tell they're my turn signals.
