Anybody know what the advantage of putting a lightning MAF on our cars is?

It's an advantage if you're swappping to larger injectors and also have the ability to enter the specific MAF transfer for it. That meter offers good resolution at idle and low flow points allowing for good idle tuning/control and it also offers decent range for applications using enough fuel to require 42# injectors.

Yep. I just sold mine LMAF and 42's. I heard the meter can handle up to 900HP.

Absolutely none. Investing in car parts must be an oxymoron

I got a PMAS 95mm IIRC. PMAS is better for mounting in the fender at an angle...and better in general. More expensive. The 30's I got are made by Venom and handle the power quite well. Its all in the tune.

I switched from the 90MM Lighting to the 95MM PMAS as well. There was nothing wrong w/ the lighting I just wanted a different set up for the air intake and was to difficult finding another set up that accepted the 4 bolt flange on the lightning meter. Cant complain about the PMAS though its great after having severe issues with the DBX meter.

Why change if it is running with the 42's? The only reason I changed was my PIA computer setup did not agree with that size injector (that stupid hesitation).

Also, you have to get a REALLY good tune to get that size injector to work on our c.i. so be careful. Just as an update, IIRC, last time I spoke with you I was at 425? rwhp on a dynojet and Rick got me 50 more rw out of it on a mustang dyno WITH the 30's. I don't know if that would equate to 475rwhp on a dynojet but being conservative, I should have at least 450rwhp (I'm only revving to 5500). I'm happy with it..and street manners.

Because of me..lol

Since we were swapping injectors and Keith has a PMS he needed a meter that matched, so we went with a 95mm PMAS (which IMO is a much better meter). THE PMAS meter is also better suited for the 4" power pipe I made, being positioned that far down iin the inner fender it reads better/more consistant.

I had had some issues with the Lightning meters pegging voltage (Mostly on boosted combos), and the only work around is to put a Diablo MAFIA on it so I can trick the meter, so I prefer the PMAS or ABACO meters.
