Sometimes while driving at night my headlights will flicker...this is scary. I do not know how they stop doing it, but they just do. Is there a specific wire that could be loose or something in the switch?
I'm not as up on the 5N95 switches as I am the fox switchgear, but I do recall a few guys replacing the 94-95 headlight switch. Just as problematic (if not more-so) is the headlight switch connector - it can overheat.
I'd pull the switch out and take a looksie (remove the headlight knob, the instrument cluster bezel and then you can remove a couple of bolts and the switch comes out as I recall.
Had the same problem. Before you go off to the store to buy a new headlight switch take a look at the back of it. Mine somehow overheated and melted the plastic away from a connection preventing it from sitting in there right. It was also pretty corroded so all I did was take a piece of sandpaper and clean up the connections. Then I filed some of the plastic away and put the connector back on and you'll have to manually put the connection on the post through the back if your problem was like mine. Hope I could help
yup its the headlight switch. my lights were flickering a few months ago. i had people pulling over because they thought i was an emergency vehicle when i took it out it was all burned up and melted
