Unfort the left side light on my daughters 94 dash cluster went out.

While I haven't even looked at what has to be done, is there a step by step procedure on what needs to removed to change the bulb?

Thanks

Bulb replacement

First remove headlight knob w/ small screw driver
Remove the 2 Torx screws underneath the dash pod
Gently pull the top and then the sides of the pod
Next remove 4 Torx screws holding the gauges in the dash
Once removed, gently lift the cluster out and up to disconnect 2 wire harnesses
After that, check and replace the burnt bulbs.
Hope this helps.

I am assuming that you are talking about the lights behind the gauges on the dash. If so remove the two screws from the underside of the top of the dash. They are located just above the gauges on the dash. Next you will need to remove the headlight and parking light knob. Turn the knob around until you can see the little slit in it. Put a small screw driver in the hole and push the screw driver handle toward the dash, so that it is "prying" the knob off. It should come of pretty easy. Next pull the shroud off that you took the two screws out of above. This is still held in place by I believe 3 little clasps. You should be able to just pull it right out. There is one clasp on the right and two on the left. After that remove the four screws in the corner of the instrument panel. There are several screws that you can see but only remove the four in the corners. The cluster should pull right out now, but before you pull it all the way out you will need to unplugg the two wire harness from the back. There is one on the left and one on the right. There is a little button on the top that needs to be pressed to remove these. After that is done totally remove the cluster and you should be able to find which bulbs are out.

I hope this helps, let me know if you need more help.

I won't be able to try it for about a week. But will let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Do I need a certain torx number screwdriver?

Pulled the gauge cluster out as per instructions and it took me about 15 minutes. I decided since the cluster was out, why change the 2 bulbs that were out and take a chance. So I changed all 5.

Thanks for the postings here. Made it very easy. :flag:
