Lightswitch diagram/function Mustang II

Hi there!
I’m in need of the functions of the headlight switch terminals.
I need it for a project, if someone can fill me in on this, it will be much appreciated!!

what I have is an original Mustang II lightswitch, Motorcraft, I would like to know the functions of the terminals, so that I can blend it in in my project.
Please take a look at the pics and drawing and you’ll know what I mean.

I can't speak from personal experience but I found a resource that may help out. They are looking at the 8 terminal switch but I'd imagine that the letter designations are the same. It is located in post #7 here:

In your picture you list D2AB = original application was a 72 ford?

This is what I was looking for! Thank you very much!!

’72 Ford is possible, don’t know. It came out of a ‘77 Mustang. We replaced it with a new one, but the problem then wasn’t this light switch but the ignition switch. So this one is a spare I‘m going to use.

It was a 77 as you said but 72 is first use of part application, lots of 65 mustang parts carry 63-64 falcon part codes from there first intended use.

Ah okay.
I assumed it was an original to the car because it said Motorcraft, and that’s Ford right?
The car it came out from is my son’s Mustang.

The project it’s going to, well, you don’t want to know....
That’s my car, a ‘57 Chevy 210 Wagon, sorry.
it needs new wiring, I make that myself and it can use a new lightswitch and we have this on the shelf.
If you want to see a Chevy, I post it here ;-)

There's a reason there's a Chevy alternator and a Jeep air cleaner hat on my Mustang, they're what work. It'll be getting Toyota power steering when I re-wire the car and do the super-secret powertrain swap.

Yes we want to see the Chevy.

You’re absolutely right, use what works!
I never understood the Ford - Chevy war, I think we are all in the same hobby, what difference does a name make??
So here is my project:
it has got a 350V8, TH350 automatic, powersteering and powerbrakes with discs up front.
But, to build this in the Netherlands you must have a lot of money or being creative!
That last one is me...

To build them here in the states requires the same - a lot of money or an abundance of creativity. They're all expensive!
Speaking from a little bit of experience as I have a 55 Chevy 150 wagon:

While the pic is over 12 years old my wagon hasn't changed. I'm hopeful that I can actually begin work on it in the next couple years. Nice to see someone else working on an old long roof!

Nice ’55 Handyman!
These Trifives are indeed expensive. You can go all the way on them!! But I am not looking to build a showcar, I build a driver, just like my old ‘59 Chevy Apache.
Drove that truck daily. I was the only lunatic in my town
