lincoln lsc tranny in a fox?

hey guys i am building a 90 coupe on a budget of $0. I am trying to get everything for free. My friend gave me a 90 coupe with a 6 pt cage lakewood shock and struts 3.73 gears no interior and no motor and tranny. I just got a 89lincoln lsc for free it has the 5.0 h.o. in it and a AOD tranny. i am gonna use the motor and tranny from it in the coupe. I know the tranny is about a 1 1/2 longer than a mustang AOD my question is can i just cut down the input shaft of the driveshaft to make it fit or do i have to bring it to a shop and have them cut it? Also i am looking for a stock mass air if anyone wants to help me out. Thanks for everything. Pat.

From my experience you will have to have the actual driveshaft shortened not the input shaft of the ds.
