since im doing the explorer motor swap and dont want to take apart my old engine which is still running, i seen a licoln mark 7 in the junkyard. does it have the same cam profile as the mustang and can i use the oil pan too?

Oil pan yes.
Cam depends on the year. It's close enough. The 86-88 cam is the most aggressive in the Mustang stock, unsure if the Mark 7's use it too
