Lincoln Versailles

Hey All, I Know someone selling a 79 Versailles. 85000 miles. I've got a 65 Fastback with an 8 inch rear and 4 wheel drums. The Versailles runs well and is clean underneath. Should I buy this at $850.00?? I was thinking I would be getting a 9 inch , front disc brakes ( I know there is a lower ball joint issue , but I read here that MustangSteve has a bushing to make it work ) and a 302 that I can do a few things to and drop it in. Opinions ?? Thanks!

thta's not a bad price, but if the rearend needs any work on the brakes the parts are expensive. i have a complete versailles rear with new brake rotors, rebuilt calipers, new wheel bearings and a 3.70 diff with the correct pinion yoke for a mustang for the same price, it has also been completely detailed as well and includes all the other parts that go with the setup, shock plates wedges, brake cables and everything

Sounds like a nice plan. A 302 V8, Front (and rear?) disc brakes and an 9" for $850 is a good deal IMO.

$850 isn't a bad price. The engine block , if it's a D8VE casting, is a thick walled design too, perfect for that 60 over 3.4 inch stroker motor that displaces 352 cubic inches
