If I used a toggle switch on front-brake line lock setup, what problems do you foresee with my pressing the brake pedal, putting the toggle into the "ON" position, and walking away from my car ?

Will this damage the solenoid ?

Will it result in a drain on the battery ?

Just wondering if aside from the typical usage of this device, if it could also be used as a Security device.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'd suspect it would drain the battery.
The line loc runs normally open, meaning it takes power to keep it closed.

It would burn the linelock up fast. It takes power to activate the solenoid.

What type of solenoids are they? I have a lot of experience with Solenoids from Air Suspension and it shouldnt really put that much of a pull on the battery at all. Its not really the best Anti-Theft solution, but I suppose it would work. I wouldnt bother personally.

Edit: I must have put thousands of cycles on my solenoids on my truck, no problems whatsoever, and this was with 200PSI behind the valves being held shut. Might be a different type of valve setup though.

B&M 46075 Line Lock Loc Launch Control Solenoid

I should have been more clear.

The car will be garaged, but when I step out to a restaurant or something like that, I thought it would be "nice", not necessary, to lock those front wheels down.

I know that when I put my Hurst line lock on the directions specifically said not to hold it for more than 60 seconds I believe or you risk damaging the solenoid.
