Is it possible on a 94/95 to install the line lock up next to the master cylinder? Like on the output of the proportioning valve maybe? Seems like wiring would be neater if I could locate the line lock up there instead of down by the ABS module.

Thoughts?

I'm contemplating removing all of the ABS plumbing and using the block from a 93. I still purchased all of the parts to put the lineloc on with ABS though. I found a very nice writeup on this somewhere on the net, but I can't find it at the moment. If I find it, I'll be back to post it.

yes to answer your question it is quite possible to install the line loc near the master cylinder. mine is right next to it bolted to the strut tower. i just by passed the abs and have had no problems. all you need to do is take the line from the back of the master cylinder(one closest to the firewall) completely off and out of the car. run a line from the m/c to the line loc and then another line from the line loc to the proportioning valve. plug up the two unused holes on the line loc, bleed the system, wire it up and your ready to go. if i had a digital camera i would show you mine.

Someone jump in and tell me how wrong my memory is. But here goes...

On our cars, doesn't the proportioning valve send only one line to the ABS block for the front wheels, and it gets broken out at that point for each individual wheel. As I understand it, a typical line lock installation has the solonoid down by the ABS block, on the input line. If that line is the same line coming out of the front/rear proportioning valve up by the master cylinder, then I would think it would be fine to install the line lock up there as long as you can find a place for it. Should still lock both front wheels as planned, and the wiring should be a little easier 'cause it would be a straight shot to the firewall.

Or maybe my memory is wrong. Joe Lynch has a nice writeup somewhere, I'll go search for it. It's for his 99 Cobra, but ours is pretty similar as I understand it.
