me and some buddies went to a cruise in at a guys car lot/show room last night. the guy who hosts the weekly cruise in owns 4 REAL Cobras R's along with 2 Saleen Cobras, a Gran sport vette, a Buick GNX and a few other really nice cars . there was a 93 , a 95 and two....yes, two 2000 Cobra R's in his collection. anyways to make a long story short he had just bought a new Lingenfelter C6 ZO6 and he asked my buddy if i would run him. i told him i would, knowing i was going to get my ass handed to me. anyways we went out to his private road, about a mile long stretch. we ran from a 5 mph roll and believe it or not i pulled him off the start and held him off all the way to 130 mph. i let off at the top of 4th just as he was starting to pull on me. i would have a video of it but my buddy forgot to hit the record button.:notnice:
i guess a little 2V can run with the big dogs when you build it right!!:D

Most excellent. IDK what the new LPE Z06 has in it but even beating a stock Z06 is something every Cobra driver aims for :rlaugh:

Sweet! Nice runs! Im thinking it must be the 630 or 660HP version to keep up with you like that. I assume you were on your low 6XX tune?

Looks like it may be time to spray the IC and maybe a small shot into the motor!

fortunatly Z06s dont respond too well to N20 from what I have seen. Friend of mine with a KB cobra ran dead even/maybe lost by a hair (cant remember) to a 150 shot sprayed 07 Z06. Ofcourse this one didnt have a cam, but if I recall correctly did have LTs and exhaust work.


oh and why did you think he would wax you????? dude you have over 600RWHP and your car is fairly light lol. He only has a few hundered pounds weight advantage and alot less power.

i was on the low 600 tune. i didnt even spray the IC before the run. i'll be back up therein 2 weeks with race gas and spray to try it again.

i guess i havent gotten used to the fact that my car will actually run with some really quick cars now. i cant wait to see how it does on over 700 on the street!!

:D Yep when you jump into THAT much power its hard imagining what your now able to keep up with.

Suggestion though....I think I would TRY it (race + spray) on the street a few times before actually going and racing this guy. Eventhough its on private property, you dont actually know what its going to do...I would hate to see that bad boy break loose and send you into the vette. Just so you can get used to it and know what to expect....there is alot going on when your jumping on a car with 700+RWHP...especially the first few times and then trying to focus racing someone adds to the stress and things you have to concentrate on. :flag:


I know for me, when I add alot of power I go into tunnel vision and I can hardly think fast enough to compute whats going on (IE going from bolton to TT in my GT....first getting my bike, ect). Anytime what im used to gets sped up it takes a few times to get used to it so that I can actually drive worth a crap and shift at the proper RPMs. :nice:

when i first read the thread topic i was like wow this is gonna be amuzing seeing how bad you get smoked by the TT lingenfelter lol. they have 1000rwhp and run 0-60 in 1.9 seconds lol and run high 8 sec times.

but man i wish i had your car i bet that power is insane knowing you can run with those guys.
