I am starting this thread so that we can get a list of companies that everyone suggests to avoid due to bad customer service, low product quality, or any other reason. Please post the name followed by a hyphen (-) and then why that company should be avoided. Thanks guys.

Dallas Mustang - poor customer service
Jerry's General Automotive - poor work rear-end, took back to fix twice and still isn't fixed

This is what the Better Busines Bureau is for. No need to duplicate their efforts...

Also, one person's anecdotal experiences do not mean shiot.

what was your issue with Dallas Mustang? I frequent their forum for the Speedcal and they go out of their way to help people out. Thats rare considering its only a $99 part.

while I kind of agree with Kilgore, I also sympathize with stangers who have had issues with parts/customer service.

rpmoutlet.com shipped my **** to the wrong address on two seperate instances. Both times I talked to them by phone to let them know where my part needed to be sent, both times I wasted my breath. heres the issue:

the primary address associated with my credit card is in PA. Most of you know they cant ship to an address unless it is listed with your credit card company. The address I needed the parts sent to in AR was listed as an alternate address. They told me the address I requested shipment to was not the address associated with my credit card so they just sent it to the PA address w/o contacting me or checking for any alternate addresses. My parents had to ship the parts down to me both times at their/my expence.

Besides that, Ive had 3 transactions with rpmoutlet.com that went smooth, like butta

I agree with helty.

I have only filed one complaint with the BBB but I have had a number of companies continually screw me over. This thread is based on opinion for the help of others to compare. It never crossed my mind to file with the BBB about Dallas Mustang or Jerry's General Automotive. Some people don't even know about the BBB, and sometimes the BBB doesn't cover what you want to complain about.

I contacted them questioning about a speedcal and was told numerous times that I would be called back. I never got a phone call back and they kept giving me the runaround for about a week when I finally gave up. I still don't have a speedcal yet.

Ronnie Diaz Motorsports- I don't know if he has ever tried to sell parts again, but many people got burnt by Ronnie. I got my parts in a timely manner and at a great price, but shortly after my order the complaints started rolling in here on Stangnet.

Shannon Wheeler (aka SDWheeler, Darchangel, etc.)- This is a douchebag of the highest caliber that operates under many other aliases than the ones mentioned above because I have forgotten them over time. He typically rips people off with something to do with ported heads or offering head porting services. Here are some good threads from Modular Depot about the guy:

You can add an authorized shipping address with your credit card company. That way, you can have your parts shipped to a different address from your billing address.

I send my parts to my friends store since I'm hardly ever home.

and I spoke to them over the phone both times, explaining that the requested shipping address IS listed on the card, just not as the primary address. Once I can understand, maybe*, but twice!?

I even called the credit card co. before placing the 2nd order to verify that my Arkansas address is listed on the card, and they told me it had been for 4 months. Ive used it to order parts from other companies (mustangtuning.com, tirerack.com, MGW) and had no problems at all.

Oh Shannon Wheeler I have been reading about him for like 8 years on Corral. I won't buy any used parts online from Texas because he uses so many alias's and friends/family etc to continue his scams. That truely is a low life POS!

Saleen - I bought an s281 wing locally, and needed to buy the led. I specifically said only the led, and I got charged for the entire wing. shipping that 60x35x3 box to hawaii wasn't cheap. I also asked for it to be shipped to a different address from what my bank has, but they shipped it to the wrong place anyways. My account was overdrawn, and Saleen said they would ONLY exchange my wing for an led but I'd still have to pay for shipping.

Now I'm stuck with a Saleen wing on my car, and in the garage.

sean hyland motorsports - he sells used parts, chit CS, hates being wrong, fast tracks engine rebuilds.. etc etc etc

granatelli motorsport - crappiest welds i've ever seen, doesn't know chit about suspensions, passes off trying to be a guy who knows what he's talking about, rips off of patented designs

saleen - they ship out wrong quantity and/or wrong product, bad CS for non-saleen owners

Dallas mustang as well! I will never buy there again...I have had more than one run in with them

Saleen! Very long list...
