List of electrics that don't work...what do they have in common?

Radio: Aftermarket headunit. Worked when I installed it, went over a stretch of cobblestone road (very bumpy) now it doesn't turn on at all. No power whatsoever.

Fuel door release button: Same deal....used to work, died the same time as the radio

Power locks: Haven't worked since I got the car running again. Have brand new actuators.

Fuel gauge: put a whole tank into it last night ($45....ow) , and when I turned the car back on, it jumped up to about a half tank, and then fell back down to a quarter tank and just stayed there. But, my "low fuel" light came on yesterday and It eneded up being just over 11 gallons....so I think that part works.

WTF....really. I hate electrical stuff.

Not trying to insult your intelligence, but you didn't say what you have tried as far as repair.
Did you check the fuses?

You can insult my intelligence all you want. hehe. I found a fuse diagram and checked the fuse that had "Radio" on it. It was good...I then checked the one that had the "Fuel Door Release" It was blown...so I replaced that and voila...my radio works AND the fuel door works. Yeah, I'm a moron. Now, why the radio was on the fuel door fuse....that is beyond me. Oh, and the diagram said the same fuse also did the power windows....witch worked fine the entire time.

As far as the locks, I didn't see reference to the power locks on the fuse layout, & the rest of the fuses are good....but I have no power going to the drivers side switch. Hrmm.

The fuel gauge has crept up over the course of the day.....its up to about a ½ tank now.

I think the radio operates on two fuses, one for constant power, the other for key on position.

Get yourself a test light and start checking power down the lock circuit. If its good at the fuse and bad at the switch, theres gotta be a wire problem in there somewhere.

do you still have the factory amp? if you do You HAVE to take it out or else it will do what your talking about, Ive done it twice now lol

Fuse 8 is shared by quite a few things. The fuel filler door and radio among them. The power mirrors, not windows is on that same fuse. Power windows don't share a fuse with anything else.

Power door locks are connected to the inline circuit breaker (the little silver box at the starter relay). Power lumbar is also powered through this breaker.

Wait, so the power locks don't go through the fusebox like everything else? Is that breaker directly connected to the starter solenoid? Something I can easily replace?

@slow95gt: There is nothing left of the factory soundsystem except for the headunit wiring.

Power locks and lumbar do not go through the fuse box. The breaker is the one mounted to the starter relay. Only three nuts to R&R the breaker.
