Little problem with Bullitt Pedal install

I just installed the Bullitt pedals - what a P.I.T.A.! When I reinstalled the gas pedal bracket to the studs coming through the firewall, the one stud on the top left is loose and turns and I can't tighten the nut on it. How can I fix that stud from moving? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First thing you could do is hit it with a impact gun. Cordless or air. Sometimes if you can spin them fast enough you can get the nut to drive on. Second, can you maybe see the back side of the stud on the other side of the firewall? I don't know I've never looked. Check it out, if you can see it maybe you can get something on there to hold it.

Maybe someone to help with that, or use Vicegrips?

Yeah the pedal install is a pita, I took the seat out to give myself some room. I didn't have to remove the gas pedal assembly, I just tore off the stock pedal and was able to install the bullitt one ok.

I could have sworn that I have seen one company that offers a bolt on pedal over the stock one, like Saleen or Roush, or a website that has blank aluminum looking ones. I am interested but don't want to have to struggle, for the price some places want for pedals I am not going to spend the money.

just remove the dash. its not too hard. remove the side bolts from the dash, remove the top bolts from under the defrost vent, remove the center consol, remove lower dash brace bolts in front of consol, unhook the steering wheel from shaft by pedals and it should slide right out.. with help of another person.

Yeah I think it would be a two man job. One to spin it, the other to look and see where the stud is on the other side. Then hit it with the vice grips.

Holy cow that dash removal suggestion is a bigger deal than the pedals, this is spiraling into something big.
I'll try to look from underneath the car and see if the bolt is there.
