Loc-tite on aluminum heads

has anyone used studs instead of the bolts? my buddy said that studs are way better than bolts to use on headers.

Im pretty sure they would work better but the problem is having the clearance to tighten them. I know with my 1 3/4" primaries...its REALLY hard to get in there. I imagine studs would make it even worse.

i posted a little further up that i use ARP Header studs instead of bolts, they came with regular washers but i use split lock washers instead. They are always tight. They are great with my shorties enought room to move htem around and it makes lining them and gasket super easy.
