I cant believe I havent got one of these before now. Theres one on ebay for 30 bucks. Anyone have any recommendations/links.

I believe Stant makes one. You can get it at most auto parts stores (ie - Auto Zone, etc).

Do you have to remember to lock yours each time you put the cap back on, or does it lock automatically when screwed on?

They sell them at the Ford parts counter also. While you are there pick up a 2007 FRPP catalog

Nope, you lock/unlock it yourself. You forget to lock it then it's unlocked.

All it simply does is screw in like a regular gas cap then you "lock" it which disengages the top part of the cap. The top part of the cap will simply turn and turn and not actually unscrew. When you unlock it you re-engage the top part of the cap to the base and then unscrew.

I'm liking the ebay one then. Whenever you put the cap on it locks. No need for a key. No way to forget. Worth an extra 10 bucks to me.

People stealing his gas maybe? Wow... if people are siphoning gas out of your tank, you need to move or park in a better area.

I wouldnt be to afraid of people stealing you gas compared to idiots dumping **** into the tank. In my hometown, kids like to go around dumping soap and crap into gas tanks so it causes crap to break. Friend of mine had his grand prix motor blow becuase they dumped a bunch of crap in it and locked the motor up.

Get the one from the dealer.

Locks automatically when you screw it in (clicks as you turn it in) and requires a key to remove.

No one cares about stealing gas. Everyone cares about stuff being put INTO your gas.
