Going to be in Long Beach later this week and was wonder what recommended hot rod shops, or other builders, etc that might be open to the public in the general area for my 11 year old son and I to drop by one day and check out.

We'll be staying in down town but have a rental.

Any suggestions SoCal people??

West Coast Choppers aka monster garage. His shop is there on Anaheim st. He doesn't hang out there much. He bought a BIG wherehouse across the street with 10' walls. Him and Sandra opened a health burger joint next door to that.
Don't know much else for shops. There is the Peterson Museum in Santa Monica?
There is a go cart track in Carson, about fifteen minutes!! They have a slick track and a few others. Not fast but fun. The slick track is the best

There's a place calle "G Machine" you might check out. If you're still in town on the weekend, there's an automotive swapmeet at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in Long Beach on Sunday.

Wake up to celebrity town. It's never a dull moment.
Enjoy the weather. A lot nicer compared to what you had a few months ago!
Was in Mustang for the car show, a few months back. Great people.
I think it was Johnny's grill on 66?
