I had a set of shorties. I just got LTs because my shorties hit my firewall since I recessed my motor an inch, Plus I really wanted the benefits of the LTs with my NA combo.

why did you move it back in the first place? hood clearance? can you move it forward for the install and then back again after the LTs are in place?

Just so you know, there is a good chance the primaries will hit your firewall since the motor is moved back.

After you spend this much money on a build a little bit more work and cash is not an issue anymore I rather just get everything right. I rather eat glass than install gears

They are in!!!!!!!! Had to lift the motor and move it forward kinda slipped right in. I have plenty of room. Around the bell housing and everything. They are for a 93 and the fit perfect no egr hook up for those who deleted the Smog anyways. Thanks for the help i will post up pics. BTW i left my motor forward to it original position. The only casualty of my install was the throttle cable that got caught between my intake and firewall so it is now binding. Almost done one more thing in the books.

Just put a board under the Oil pan, with a floor jack. undo the passager motor mount and jack it up about 3 inches....just about where the motor mount stud slides free. this is only for the passager side. The other side is a bugger, but eventually slides in on the drivers side under neath. I just disconnected the steering shaft.
