OK, i was wondering if anyone has installed tri-y's on a 65-66 easily without lifting or tilting engine. if so, from top, bottom, or what??? i have a pair of hedmen longtubes that are waiting to go on, but ive been told i will have to tilt or raise the engine to install. i can get some tri-y's cheap and if they can be installed without lifting engine, i will get them....

lifting or tilting is really the best way, its fairly easy too. Is there a reason you wish to avoid doing so? However, on a 289 I do not believe it is necessary.

well, basically i dont have the equipment to lift the motor and ill be by myself so thats the reason... i thought i once heard someone say with tri-y's u didnt have to, and i just wanted other peoples expericences with tri y's or other headers. i know lifting it would be a lot easier, but i really dont want to pay for that, id rather do the exhaust at home.
